Is Dirt Camp For Me?
If you’re wondering whether you’re fast enough, experienced enough—or even the “right” age for Dirt Camp—you’re in the right place. Dirt Camp is designed for adult runners across a wide range of ages, abilities and experience levels.
AM I TOO SLOW?
No. Dirt Camp isn’t a race. We offer multiple running groups and route options, from relaxed run/walk experiences to challenging mountain runs. There is no minimum pace. We’ll help you find the group that best fits your ability and goals.
AM I TOO OLD—or TOO YOUNG?
Dirt Camp is for adults 21 and older, and our campers span generations. Whether you’re 21 or 71, what matters isn’t your age or pace—it’s that you enjoy running, being outdoors and spending time with people who do too.
DO I NEED TRAIL-RUNNING EXPERIENCE?
Not at all. Some campers are experienced trail runners; others primarily run roads or are relatively new to trails. There’s a place for both.
WHAT IF I COME ALONE?
You won't be alone for long. Many campers arrive solo, and the shared runs, meals, activities and evenings make it easy to meet people.
DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN EVERYTHING?
Absolutely not. Everything is optional. Run, take a yoga class, jump in the lake, join an activity—or take some downtime. It’s your weekend.
